Does Steam charge tax?

I want to use a mod(Cinematicmod 10), but it requires that I have HL 2 ep1+2 and I can afford it right now if tax isn't charged. So uhh does it? lol Also I dont know if it makes a difference, but I'm in NY.

Tax would be like... what... a few dollars on it? like barely anything... how can you not afford that if youre willing to pay for the game itself?

in that case just try buying it as you normally would and if it goes through then there you go. i dont think there's tax though ... i dont remember.

You could have also gotten the Episode Pack off of Amazon for $9.99.

If you're in a state that charges taxes they do. Just like when you buy something on the internet they charge you tax if you live in a state with sales tax.
