does anyone knows a game like this?

I'm looking for a game where you can select your own missions. Not one that is lined out.For example, Jagged Alliance. But then maybe one that is not turn based. Maybe a hitman kind of game? Where you can select your missions from a list? Does someone knows a game like this?
