This is supposed to not really matter. Some brands have certain modes that can be used when its both the same, su ch as the anynet program from samsung but it doesnt really matter, All this program does is that its supposed to make the remote interface easier. You wont get a drastic increase of performance, hell not even one at all. It might be nice to buy them in some case, for example when the designs really match.

When it comes to sound, the brand of ur tv has absolutely bearing whatsoever on the quality of sound when using a seperate sound system.

The part u need to think about is the quality of ur speakers, the quality of the cable used to connect the speakers to ur amp/receiver and the quality of the interconnects used to connect whatever it is device to the amp/receiver.

The poster above who said that different speakers from different makers doesn't matter is only partly correct. If u take the time to listen to and compare the sound from different speakers then u can get a very nice coherent sound but this can work out very expensive and time consuming but can be very worth the effort if done correct.

The simplest and easiest solution is to buy a set of speakers from the same manufacturer and from the same group to get the best tonal matching all round, it doesnt have to cost the earth these days if u know where to look.
