Do you ever get nostalgic for a OS?

It's funny and weird lately I've been getting nostalgic for Windows Vista yes you've heard that right. I'm aware of it's issues I had it from the beginning but honestly it wasn't that bad after it got patched up. But more then anything I guess I'm nostalgic for the aesthetic of Vista and the UI.

Not really nostalgic, and never used Vista but I run Classic Start Menu on Windows 10 and I set it up to look just like the one in the 1st picture. I don't care what kind of modern design some douche came up with, start menu is start menu.

I miss my IRIX.

Not sure I liked Windows Vista. But it sure looked nice. I liked Aero and Flip 3D.

Yeah, the design they used actually has a name I never knew about until recently it's a aesthetic used from 2004- 2011 called Frutiger Aero.

I liked the music to the tutorials for windows XP.

Mandrake 10.1 was my first linux distro back in the day and it was packed with cool stuff too. Wobbly Windows! (yes i am a 6 year old :P).

Kinda off topic but the PS Vita OS was also great. Nice UI for a portable device. catchy music going on in the background. Snappy and responsive. it did it's job very well. Uncharacteristically playful from sony also.

After getting back on Windows 7 on one of my machines after using Windows 10/Windows 8.1 for a while, I have to say it brought me back to a nostalgia trip since it was the first Operating System I actually got to learn to install on my own and what made me motivated to learn so much about computers and what lead me to venture out to Linux/Hackintosh builds later on in my life.

I get nostalgic to the previous OS after each release.

I like looking at the different old OSes that used to be around, BeOS seemed cool

Only thing I miss about early OS' are the tiny Footprint and RAM requirements. Overall, the latest Operating Systems have evolved excitingly well!!

Windows XP was a whole childhood, but now it's no longer suitable, it's truly nostalgic.
