I'm purchasing EVGA's FTW 750i motherboard, and I'm wondering if I need an SLI bridge for my 7950gt's?

This is my first SLI setup, and I'm really not sure if an SLI bridge is needed in all cases...

Yes.

IF the board is SLI compatible and you have 2 SLI compat cards, then you need the SLI bridge to connect them.

I think mine came with one, but if not, the cards come with one a piece. It's a great board, so have fun.

Make sure you get the latest bios, I heard the early ones had a terrible video corruption issue.

I havn't seen anyone post any problems about the video corruption on their fourms in a long time. I am using the latest bios (SZ1I) without any problems but a lot of people on the forums over their seem to prefer the SZ1G bios I think. And yes it does come with a sli bridge.

Exactly, the early bios releases had the issue, but it was fixed a little back

Different motherboards have different distances between PCI-express slots, so in general SLI-ready mobos each come with their own SLI bridge included in the box.
