DICE = Premature Releases

Releasing BC2 in its broken state. And I see lots of people saying 2142 had a terrible release And some other games. Does DICE just suck at polishing games? Or is it EA pushing a deadline?

Yeap, In my experiences it feels like it's taken a step back since the beta.

Just becouse you have problems doesnt mean everyone does. I have had almost no problems with the game. Everything works as it should, even the fps is pretty stable and lag is rare.

Wait! Wait! I did actually encounter a game breaking bug. My medic unlocks dont seem to well unlock=) So I snipe for now since that works flawlessly.

I've had no issues, no lag, everything silky smooth running all to the max with 16x Anistropic. Must be people's computers when they say it crashes, etc.
I have only spent 4 or so hours playing so far but after this amount of time, I think I will put MW2 away and forget it.

I'm not having nearly as much trouble as I did with 2142, but there are a few hiccups. The good thing about DICE is that they do work hard to fix things...eventually.

Really, the only thing goofed up is the server browser / match maker portion of the game which is sorta sad given how many other technical victories are in the game. To fail on MAKING A LIST is redonkulous.

The server browser is horribly crafted. Here are it's failings...

It always builds a full list, even if you would like to create a filtered, smaller list, it goes out and build a larger, more resource consuming list first.

It builds the list rather slowly. By the time you get it, it largely out-dated.

If you attempt to added a FAVORITE server, it seems to just error out. So you cannot build a fast list to avoid the larger, bloated list.

If you cancel the list, it will often leave you in such a bad state that you have to log out of EA and then log back in.

The list builds for servers outside your country / region. That is fine for idiots that enjoy high-ping smack-fests, but really, the lists should start regionalized with an option to go global. Building a huge list of destinations that I would never, ever want to go to is like collecting a list just because the point of it is to make it long and awe inspiring. Someone lost there way here and the lists need to be focused on useful servers.

I could go on, but the entire server mechanics are ill-concieved and poorly executed. Excellent game otherwise.

My problem during the beta was my fps were down in the low 20s high teens but connectivity was never an issue. Now it's the opposite lol, I'm usually over 40-50 fps sometimes even 60 but I can't get into a game nor stay in one when I do.

Does BF:BC2 use dedicated servers for the multiplayer? Or is it the same crap as in MW2.

Totally agree, and I will be happy when I don't feel like I have to stick with a server just because I managed to get on one that I like.

BC2 is not broken.

Singleplayer works well and multiplayer has worked well for me personally (though some friends get kicked once inawhile).

Some online games have so many people in the first week that they need to fix somethings.

The game is far frmo broken, I havnt had a crash or anything yet and it runs at very good FPS.

Its tons of fun aswell on conquest, im enjoying this alot more then I expected after teh beta

No problems here, the game is awesome.
