So which of these two will you be getting.

I'm quite sceptical that neither will be good but I'm craving for a decent online RPG.

I dont belive that ROS will be good enough to save D3 but all my gaming friends will be getting it so it will probably be somewhat fun to play together.

On the other hand I played a couple of hours of TESO closed beta and while it left a generic impression Im feeling optimistic with this game.

Well, they are different games really.

I won't be playing ESO unless it gets mad reviews from gamers... and D3:ROS I'll get down the track when the price goes down.

I was going to say you've picked two games from two fairly different genres and playstyles, ESO going for a PvP MMO feel while D3 is basically a PvE game with always online being tacked on for reasons that escape me.

That said I'll probably be avoiding TESO until the reviews come out, and D3 ROS I'll save for a rainy day and play it then.

I don't know about ESO, but I know the two-bit hacks who are the writers for Diablo 3 really put me off. I mean I don't usually care about the story or characters in a game, but in Blizzard games they're distractingly bad.

Probably D3 RoS, depends on if I have enough money after getting a few other games in March.

@brodelin: there is a new beta this weekend in ESO, if you got invited the last time chances are good you did this time too ;)

I'm exited about the game, looking forward to see what has been done since the last beta.

haters gonna hate

Thnx for the tip. I just checked my mail and yes I got an invite. And the great thing is that my character from last beta was not wiped which means I can continiue to progress and skip the earlier stuff.

I don't think those two games are anywhere near similar enough compare.

I'm going to pre-order ESO, I'll write a review about it and hopefully have the balls to stream it also.

@brodelin: Honestly I'll probably wind up getting both at some point haha. I didn't like Diablo 3 enough to stick around longer than a couple months MAX. I played the ESO beta and it was so meh, not to mention the pre order ordeal makes it seem pay to win. I can't speculate too much on either, but they both come from franchises I've learned to respect so I can atleast give the a chance :)

I guess you're right. I'll probably get both myself eventually but coming launch date I'll guess I can't afford both since I'll be getting a ps4 and some other games due march.

I'd have to agree with you about being skeptical. Although I guess I'd have to say the Diablo 3 expansion would probably have higher production value than TESO. I'm not hearing anything too great about TESO. Just that it's overall, mediocre and unremarkable.

Apples and oranges here really imo, but if I had to pick I guess TESO. Both games will appeal to different crowds I'm sure (Again, apples and oranges), but I feel like TESO may have a longer play value.

I agree.

Personally, I'm on the fence about RoS - I'll see how it shakes out.

Monthly fee ruled out TESO for me automatically. The beta didn't even come close to tempting me to preorder.

Save your money for Witcher 3, or play something a bit older.

For Diablo style of gameplay there's Torchlight 2, Path of Exile.

For TES gameplay you can play some Skyrim or Oblivion mods or even go back to the basics with Morrowind.

if TESO is decent i'll try it for sure if i have some time to kill... but Diablo there is no chance, i just don't like that type of game.
