I recently purchased this game(Daggerfall), but I can't get it to install on my system.  I'm using windows XP, but I have DOSbox and was wondering what I need to do to install it.

Thanks for any help.

I can recommend using a MS-Dos emulator like Dosbox.
that emulator tends to do the trick for most old games :)

Well, at first I get an error regarding a file not found, something like "agoDOS not found", however, the game will autorun into the install, but when I click on install I get a blank, black screen.  So, I hit control/alt/delete and go the the programs and it indicates that the autorun is not responding, but the install is.  I really don't know what is going on, really.

Are you installing it under Dosbox?

I remember playing this game under dosbox, but it ran VERY slowly.

Be sure to mount your cd rom drive and your disk drive. read the help documents for dosbox.

Here is a useful thread about it....

DOS-BOX

Type in:

Mount c c:

Mount (INSERT CD DRIVE) (INSERT CD DRIVE):

(CD DRIVE):

Now at this stage, click on the cd and select explore, this should open a new window. If as soon as you open and you see an install exe, exit explorer and type cdinstall and you should begin installation. If not, search one of the folders for an install.exe and type in the path to it, then install

EG. CD = Daggerfall/Autorun/Install/Install.exe

DOSBOX = cd/daggerfall/autorun/install
DOSBOX = install.exe
DOSBOX = wait and install
