Good news for me, I have a dual core and a 7800 so it should run ok.

By the way, Crytek must have done one hell of an optimization job.
You guys think I'll be able to max it at 1280*1024 with a C2D @ 3.4Ghz, 7950GT OC'd, 2gb OCZ ram? On DX9 of course... I know its speculation but I'd apprciate opinions..BlackStalkerI'm sure that will be no problem for that system.

Same here =D
Oh...and In your face, haters!
Crysis sounds great...I just don't like seeing PC developers go to consoles (even if it is multiplatform) :( They're just not the same once they do :(Decado_basicWell, we can only hope Crysis stays PC exclusive, but with the influence companies like Microsoft have on developers, I can't see that happening.
wait since he said this what do you guys think on what settings ill be able to run it on
8600 GT
2gb of ram
intel 2 duo core 2.0 GHz? ThanksCornerstore
probably medium with a few hitches now and again. For total smoothness i'd honestly go with 4gb of ram.

Not sure where you are getting the 4gb ram idea, but with those settings, you can go medium-high, depending on how much ram your video card has.

I think it will stay on PC imo, in the recent gamespot interview you could tell he doesn't want to do it because of the consoles memory limitations.
Will it work on my geforce 7600gt?TehgigglesWell, if it works on a 6800GT, it will certainly work on a 7600 GT.
[QUOTE="Tehgiggles"]Will it work on my geforce 7600gt?mbuksteThe 7600GT is slightly better than the 6800GT,you should be able to handle the game fine,as long is you have enough RAM and good enough CPU.

Wrong! You wait till DX10.1 comes out. All current DX10 cards will be obsolete when Windows Vista SP1 is released.

its always best to be above reccomended requirements, and usually a game that needs 2gb on the requirements (unofficial especially) then the more ram the better. Its always the same with past games
i have a feeling even crysis will struggle on my 8800 gtx.. its kinda poor they make some games that the FPS dips down alot even on newer graphics cards, i bet a 9800 GTX will be needed for best performance.
even on games like CSS my fps still dips to mid 40's on maps with alot of ppl.

Pessimistic are we? I have NEVER went below 50 fps even on those 64 player servers in CSS. Are you using Vista by any chance?

Not pessimist at all, you only had to look at the performance of games like FEAR and Oblivion to see how badly they ran on the best cards at the time.
Yes im on vista, but looking at graphs there is hardly a performance drop on DX9 games. I have XP so i can dual boot between both os's.
and i really cant believe u have never gone below 50 fps on a 64 player server. My fps drops alot when on a big map like the industrial crane or whatever its called even with 10+ players, look out into the open there and it still goes down well below 60. I'll try in XP then but i honestly cant see it making that big of a difference. I Play zombie mod alot, that shouldnt make a difference tbh.
What settings do you use in game?
