Crysis 2 Graphics Question

If the game looked as good as the first one and was about as well optimised as Warhead, would you be pleased?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is that since Crysis 1 is still the most graphically advanced game around on any platform are you expecting the second game to look better? Or would you be content if it still had the same high textures etc since it looks better than anything else.

Of course. The game is a looker, no doubt, and even though I thought the game play was a little overhyped, I am still looking forward to the new settings.

If it was as well-optmised as warhead then no. Warhead, at least, for me didn't perform any better. I hope they really take their time and ensure it runs well on a capablegpu, since they are not pushing graphics this time around.

it would be fine if the graphics were the same , but I would like to see more enemy types and more destructability and the city setting should be cool, I will but it for sure and pre order to get exclusives, bu tI suspect the graphics will be much better than the first and require much GPU power, it will be watered down for the consoles. can't wait crysis games are my all time favorite,

Didn't Crytek say that Crysis is going to be as good as it gets graphically for the next couple years? I remember reading that somewhere.

I suppose your right. The fact remains though that CE2 was built for the PC, and CE3 is built for multi-plat.

I just can't see it being better.

But, like i said, i hope i'm wrong. If anyone can pull it off, it's Crytek.

Just as long as it doesn't go backwards for consoles, or if it feels smaller or feels prehistoric in nature, I'm set. But, I am fully expecting the game to feel like a console game at heart. And it will suck.
