I'm looking for a new motherboard that will support both APG and PCI-E, because I have a Geforce 7800GS which is AGP only, but I want to upgrade to a Pentium Core or Core 2 Duo. Which motherboard (if any) would you guys recommend? And would a 1.66ghz Core Duo (cheapest available) be sufficient?

The 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo is a laptop processor (unless you're talking about the 1.60GHz E4300), so you'll need to look at spending at least $170 for a Core 2 Duo compatible with any LGA 775 motherboard.
