I had my HDTV and recieved connected via HDMI and my xbox hooked to my recieved via HDMI. In ordered to get my skullcandy headset to work i have to use my Xbox 360 HD component cables. Is it possible to have the reciever and TV connected via HDMI and the reciever and Xbox connected via HD component cables?

What model is your receiver? If your receiver has HDMI inputs then it may also have component inputs, although sometimes they don't. If it does, just hook the Xbox to the receiver via component and then run another component cable from your reciever to your TV.

If your headphones are 3.5 mm (standard size) get a quarter inch adapter and plug it directly into the reciever. If your headphones use optical, use the 'optical out' feaeture on your receiver... the Xbox doesn't have to be involved at all.
