IF the light comes on while your pushing the power button in, and then goes off as soon as you let go, it could be the switch, you could try reversing it with the reset button switch. or you could be shorting out the motherboard somehow. or maybe the psu is just dead but if it was i dont think that light would come on at all so i dont know.

Most computers also have a reset button, yours might not so i guess in that situation you would have to find another, but if you do have a reset button on the front of your computer you look inside the case for something like this

and you swap the power button connector with the reset button connector, this kinda turns your reset button into the power button

If the power button switch is broken (and they do break sometimes) this will fix it,

Its just one possibility there are many other things that could be causing the problem

make sure your not shorting it out. it you left any screws in the case and moved the computer around they can get jammed in between the motherboard and case or if you placed a motherboard mount in the wrong spot that would be bad too.

If everthing is pluged in, the switch is fine and its not being shorted out, It's either the psu or somehow you damage the motherboard. If it was anything else the fans would atleast come on

I'd make extra sure that the main power connector is pushed in really good and that your not missing any other 4 or 8 pin power connectors and that they are the right type and inserted the correct way.
