my current games

BF2, oblivion, FEAR, Company of Heroes, baseball mogul 2007, mvp baseball 05, hoyle casino 2007, and the sims 2.

i havn'et gotten a new PC game in a while, (latest being Company of Heroes which totally kicks butt) and i really like these strategy games.

i had red alert 2 and the first red alert andi have to say those game were awesome. supreme commander also looks very good.

which one is worth shelling out $50.

I'd say Command and Conquer 3. I'm only saying CnC3 because I have played both of their demos and I enjoyed CnC3's better. I can't judge them properly however, until I play the full game of each. I've always been a CnC3 fan as well...

Play both demos than decide. My vote of course goes to C n C 3. I love the C n C franchise and have finished part 3. It is quite good and online multiplayer just got the patch it needed. There have been 3 patches so far and more to come.

C&C 3.  Supreme Commander Didn't imo turn out the way intended,  The Scale is so huge but the way it turned out in design is just not fun to play imo.

C&C 3 is just classic C&C fun.  may be same old same old but its fantastic.

yea i bought SC 2 days ago and its pretty bad... the online is buggy as hell and iv been able to get into 3 games out of 500 attempts the gameplay is alright but like a previous poster said its just not that much fun the units all seem so small and they dont react right for a game ment to have such large scale battles.

big units travel far to slow and jets even travel slow its pretty sad because it could of been great.

Definitely c&c 3 :) sc is fun, the first half hour or so, then it simply become dead boring.

C&c 3 just delivers hours of fun. There is nothing as exiting as when 20 minutes into a game you hear the following "A nuclear launch has been detected" and its is not you own ^.^

c&c 3 i fast paced rpg action, plain fun and excitement

My vote goes to SC as it's one of the best strategic rts of all time. It's scale is soo big that it enables lots of different strategies. You can counter everything with different tactics.

On the other hand as for me C&C is too fast. It's act first think later game.SC requires more thinking and make you feel like a real commander.

The REAL question you want to ask yourself assuming you don't already have CoH is CoH or Supcom?

CnC and Supcom are two different type of games,  CnC and CoH are much more similar and COH by far and large better then CnC3 by miles.

Other factors you need to keep in mind for CNC 3 is the balance is complete crap right now, the pacing is wtf stupid I mean seriously getting the games best units in just 5 minutes into a game? Units that void the purpose of most early game units.

On top of that CNC 3 uses GAMESPY and many people are having huge problems with it, those who can even get online get all kinds of problems like disconnects, desyncs super lag and more. Of the 3 people I know who bought the game none of them can get online and 2 of them sold the game already in frustration.

Supcom is a completely different type of game from either CoH or CnC, it's more macro like with a large scale, it's a very deep game and isn't exactly user friendly at first, if your looking for a casual game stay away from this, otherwise it's a good bet for you. The game doesn't have many problems as far as I know, but it basically does require you own a dual core cpu.

Oh god another one of these threads? Wrinkles nailed the problem with CnC 3 online, I sold it the online was such a train wreck! COH is much better then CnC 3 and supcom is different, you really can't compare it to other RTS games other then Total Annihilation, but it's a very good game and I'd suggest it if your not a casual.

I have both. I'd say I’m torn. C&C has aspects, especially effects and graphics, that set it apart, but SC's large scale combat and tons of units and, pretty graphics as well, make it hard to decide which is better. I think C&C3 is more accessible than SC, so I give it a slight edge. But both games are really good.... I find myself wanting to zoom out while playing C&C though, but that's what SC will do to you.

I have both (full versions) and love them...I'd have to say CC3 seems a bit easier and doesn't need as much of a high end system to run it

If you are a rich kid, get supreme commander, but I guarantee you'll get bored of it very fast because it is monotonous, changing factions to find out that the building look different, are the same in function and that only the 3 balance destroying experimental units will seperate the armies makes it worse.  But if you can stand endless boring moments and are just amused to be able to build an army that your computer may not support, then all the power to you.

C&C TW spanks it, people are right in saying they are two completely different games.  Because one sucks after 10 hours play time and C&C TW is just another excelent RTS!

Neither, only C&C I played was renegade.  I've played both for 20+ hours and C&C is definetly a better buy.  It is all opinion as both are undeniably well done, but SC is dry.

Keep in mind though the online will could very likely be completely broke for you, it is for many people :( and I suggest you play the demo thoroughly, it's the type of game thats very impressive at first, but gets worse the more you play it once you start to notice that the game breaks down to tank spam, you get all the games units in a few minutes (making early units obsolete) The game uses GAMESPY.

Well if you don't play RTS games much or if you like really fast paced RTS games then go with CNC3. Other than that then the decision easily goes to sup com.
