I recently purchased CoD4 for the pc. The game installed just fine , however when I tried to open the actual game the following message appeared. "Error during initialization:
Video card or driver doesn't support frame buffer blending ops beside add."

What does this mean? Thanks

What video card do you have? Go to www.AMD.Com for ATi Drivers and www.nvidia.com to download the latest drivers this may fix your problems.

Before we can help we need to know what video card you have. Ussually when you go to display settings and then settings it says.

Try to consult first the minimum system requirements of the game before attempting to play the game...

Make sure your video card is supported... if it's an older card, it may not be capable of running the game, hence the crash. If it's a newer card, make sure all drivers are up to date

Thats not a graphics card. Thats just the graphics part of Intel's mobos. Your pc cannot play Cod4, or cod3 or even cod2 for that matter. If you want to play it I recommend a new graphics card now (ATI 4670's are cheap).

It might be the drivers, but I had the same exact problem, It's usually your graphics card isn't up too cod4. You should get another video card. Same thing happened to me, and now I'm in the process of getting a new video card.
