COD4 demo problem, need help

will ti had a problem installing directx when i was installing the game so i went and donwload it from another site, directx 9.0 which is the newest one right?

but when i press on it it thinks for a second and nothing hpapens, how do i fix this? I've tried reinstall 3 times

I believe alot of people are having an issue with the Win32 file...

I'm also one of the many having trouble with that issue...

It was smooth sailing on the Unreal Tournament III demo...

I just gave up...

I already have alot on my plate NBA 2K8 and SKATE on PS3 (Ratchet and Clank Demo was short but pretty amazing) along with The Orange Box and the Unreal Tournament III demo...

But any help with the Win32 issue wld halp me out...

No, I believe DirectX10 is the newest one...

Try to download that and see if that helps snoopeymaster...

i only found microsoft site which keeps telling me to buy genuine before i can download it lol

Direct X 10 only works with Vista, and DX 10 video cards. Make sure your video card is DX 10 capable before installing it, and obviously if you don't have Vista it won't work. If you have XP, DX 9.0c is the latest.

I can't get the demo to work either. I downloaded it twice, and still get the Win32 error. :evil:

Well, i don't know so much if i were u...but snoopey what are your specs? itmeets the minimum requirements?
Also, check that your video card has the latest drivers installed, and check if there is a Win32 fix that u can download from its website or other site, just use google and type "Win32 fix download" or "Win32"..

Right if anyone is having the problem of the black screen popping up and just not running the inatller, change the file extension to .zip instead of .exe and extract it through that, but thisis where im having problems.

i know the game is already out, but i keep on having the same problem an error of:

Error in file #1-8..... bad zip file offset.

is xp just saying its a dodgy download and am i going to have any luck? any suggestions would be appreciated.
