Cleaning up the AMD folder in Windows 10.

Is it safe to delete the "packages" folder which apparently seems to have files for the older driver version?

My AMD folder is taking 1.4 GB isn't that a bit too much? The folder structure seems quite different than Windows 7 so that's why I am confused in how to maintain it and if it needs to be maintained at all?
