On the PC, Just Cause 2 all the way. The game has superb graphics and is a lot of fun to play. While the story is meh and it will get repetative, I have spent probably 10 hours just messing around. The game really is a good buy.
Saints 2 on the other hand is a mess on the PC. It seems to run poorly regardless of what hardware setup you have, it doesnt look that good and the games story is weak just like JC2. You will find some fun messing around but JC2 looks better and has a much larger world to explore.
Saint Row 2 is very similar to GTA, but less polished.
Just Cause 2 is nothing like anything else you've played before. You MUST get it. It's worth it just for flying an airplane between the mountains, parachuting to the top of the highest peak, and watching the sunrise. It's amazing.
Just Cause 2 by far. Awsome fun, hillarious so-bad-it's-good story and voice acting, a technical marvel vissualy especially on nvidia cards, it's a no brainer.
Depends if you are talking about the SR2 PC version, if so, leave it and never look back. Such an aweful port I wonder why they released it in the first place. But if you have a choice of getting it on consoles, definately pick it over JC2 imo. JC2 is a great game, HUGE map, nice graphics but ultimately it started to feel stale after some time. Very shallow game if you ask me. You basically do the same thing from beginning to end which is quite a shame given the potential of it all. Still, laming around with the grapling hook can be lots of fun.
SR on the other hand is just plain fun. The game is ridiculously over the top and the customizable options border on insane. And if you decide to go for some kind of fat chinese clown you will always see your character rendered like that in the movies which adds to the humor. It has it's flaws but the game is still a very succesful urban freeroaming game.
JC2, my favourite game of last year behind bad company 2
The characters are meant to be bad in just cause 2, its a fun game, look up cool things to do incase you get stuck on what to do, but just try and find airports and make use of the grappling hook!
I would say to get Just Cause 2.
I personally LOVE Saints Row 2, but it is riddled with some pretty bad technical problems. The Gentlemen Of The Row mod fixes all the bugs but it doesn't fix the terrible performance or the wonky helicopter handling. It's a fun game, but on PC you're much better off with the stabler JC2.
Both, they both are alot of fun. JC2 does play better, but after some patches sr 2 doesn't run horribly. And to be honest its lot of bun. Just Cause 2 is the better overall game though
Every time I see a new JC2 thread the urge to go back and blow stuff up begins to rise...that's how good it is.
For me, it never gets old. There are some missions that have such bonkers twists you can't fail to love the B-movie style of it all.
It was definitely one of my top 3 games of 2010 alongside ME2 and SC2.

LordRork
yup!
it has a permament space on my hard drive; it is so good for those quick moments where you gotta get your action fix on.
They are both awesome, and if it weren't for the tecnhical issues i'd say SR 2 is better, but as it stands I'd go with JC 2 and wait for Saints Row 3 since it promises to be more fleshed out on the PC.
