Right so, command and conquer 95 and red alert 1 both have these unofficial patches which stretch the default 640x400 to 1080p or any other resoloution whilst at the same time the game still looks like its being played in the default res. I want this for Dune 2000 but for the life of me cannot find anyway to do it.

All I find are high res patches for Dune 2000 which make it in true 1080p which completely ruins the game. Makes the menu and movies ultra small boxes and even ingame it looks ridiculously small.

Does anyone out there on Gamespot have a way to help me? I hear you have to use something called ddraw.ini but I have tried this and have had no results.

PLEASE someone help me.

this is what I want my dune 2000 to look like res-wise, stretched to 1080

sorry i can't help, but loved that game. First game i really saw that the units would organise themselves, usually into rows and columns instead of a mess.

this site may help

I must point out that the patches for RA1 and C&C both make the game smaller when put at 720p. Which when I last checked several months ago it was all still just 720p (not 1080p), for those 2 games. Which is also why Dune 2000 may seem smaller, because it may actually be trying 1080p. Try it at 720p, and see if it looks closer to what you want.

I have not tried the Dune 2000 this way yet, (although I do have Emperor:Battle for Dune)

I managed to figure out a compromise. Running at 800x600 with aspect set to widescreen on the graphics. This way I can record footage (I will pump up the pixels in OBS).

@the_kiwi_gamer: You can force it in your GPUs driver software if there is no patch.

Also, Dune 2000 is a solid choice. I've sunk countless hours into that damn game when I was young.
