I built a computer a couple months ago, containing some new and some old parts. Problem is, I can't even play LOTRO on the lowest settings without it crashing, sometimes its fine but other times it crashes every 10 minutes. Here are my specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

System Model: P5K-E

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz

Memory: 2048MB RAM

Available OS Memory: 2048MB RAM

DirectX Version: DirectX 11

System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)

Card name: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series

Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.

Chip type: ATI display adapter (0x6739)

Driver Version: 8.850.0.0

DDI Version: 11

Driver Model: WDDM 1.1

Let me know if you need anything else

Power supply is old but the computer i got it from wasn't very old. The power supply is a silencer 750 EPS 12V Quad, and I believe its 240 watts. As for the drivers, they are all up to date and so it the game.

Has this been happening since the day you built the system or is this a recent issue? Is it just this one game or do others have similar issues? have you checked the temps your system is running at?

Looked up the power supply and it's a 750 watt psu, not 240. So that should be fine.

That is a 750w PSU made by PC power & Cooling, one of the better PSU you can buy for money. Your PSU have enough power to run A PAIR of your PC's at the same time, So the quality/amount of power you have is almost overkill and not the cause of trouble if the PSU isn't broken. (Probably not broken, I belive the problem sit's elsewhere.) To me it sounds like your haveing a faulty stick of ram or driver problems, likely the latter. Uninstall all graphic drivers and re-install them with fresh taken from AMDs site. Run Memtest86, Prime95 and furmark check the temperatures while at it, maybe you'll get a hint of what is causing the Bsods.
