Can anybody give me any clarity on whether or not i'd be able to run GTA V okay? I would be happy if the graphics were at a level that they were at when the game first came out on xbox 360 and ps3 ish.

These are my specs:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 compute Cores 4C+6G 1.8GHz
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Video Card: No idea but I know it has 512 VRAM
  • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible
  • 1TB Storage

@jwdisney:

Requirement from Steam page.

Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHz (8 CPUs)
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD 7870 2GB
Storage: 72 GB available space

Looks like they want at least a 2gig GPU, holy sh*t!

Eh?

My (now) weak laptop from 2013 has 2 GB of VRAM. It isn't 2009 anymore. In any case, GTA V allows you to enable/disable detail features so that what remains fit within the amount of VRAM your PC has.

Hell. My (now) low-end GTX 1060 has 6 GB of VRAM.

Buy GTX1050 to enjoy it.

@jun_aka_pekto: The 1060 isn't low end, it's mid.

You won't know till you try OP, though granted you probably won't be able to, not without lowering everything. If you wan't to play GTAV, then go grab yourself a used console. I saw an Xbox One for $100 the other day.

@masterhand: If you download a special commandline to delete shadows, maybe you get 30 fps. Its playable isn't it?

I did it with 512mb memory, 4 ram, and a 1.8ghz intel processor. There is other mod to lower the graphics more than this. It's possible.
