Buying from Alienware is never smart, doesn't matter what month it is. Except of course the 13th month.

I think you should build the computer yourself, or get a shop or person to do it for you.

Like I said, I dont like to build or buy computer that someone built for me.

And it is not true that Alienware is not good. Why everyone says that Alienware is not good?

You never said anything around the lines of "or buy computer that someone built for me".........dot dot dot period shift+>

And no one said Alienware isn't good, they all said buying from them isn't smart because they charge triple of what the computer is worth.

People are answering your question, they are simply saying don't buy it which is solid advice. Alienware do sell good computers but they are charging way way more than any sane person should be paying. As someone said go find a shop to build it for you, or maybe someone wants to put in a website that does it, I buy parts so I don't really know any.

Really it depends on whether or not you are willing to wait for the new cards, or how much having a newer card means to you.

But sometime you are going to have to buy it, even if in 12 or so months something newer and better comes out.

why not get a C2D, even though the 4600+ is still a great cpu, a c2d would get better performance.

Just a idea for you, where I live we have a store called PC Club. There website is http://www.pcclub.com/.Thereprices are comparable to newegg. There product selection is not as huge as other stores, but everything they sellworks, I haven't had to returnanything yet.You can buy the hardware from there or you can have them install it for you, which I thinkcosts a extra hundred bucks. They can build you a top of the line computer with whatever you want in it. If you wanttake downthe specs you have for the alienwarecomputer you are interested in and ask them to build you a similar one and see what it would cost. I would bet it would be a lot cheaper then the alienware computer. As a lot of people have saidAlienware charges way more then what you get for it.The other nice feature is that if you have a problem with your computer you can take it back to the store and have them fix it free of charge. If you don't have a PC Club in your area then you might be able to order online.

Well I bought an alienware 3 years ago and their prices were not bad, but the have gotten a lot worse. I probably didn't get a deal, but I got everything including monitor and speakers for 1500 bucks. As long as you have 2500 dollars, go for it, cus I understand that you don't want to build or have someone build yours. I am about to build one and I have been reseaching about computers for like 3 years.
