Last thing i think i need is a graphics card. this is where i'm having a tough time deciding. I'm thinking about the gtx 285. On newegg they have a bunch of differnet versions and not sure which is the best. If theres a better card than this for the price tell me though.

the corsair 650TX is a great power supply, but I would go with 750TX or 850TX because they come with 2 additional PCI 6+2 connectors. The 650TX only has 2, the 750 and 850 have 4. If crossfire is ever an option this may suit you better. but the 650 would be fine also.

That looks great, I think you will be very happy with it! I'd personally go Nvidia, but only because I'm a fanboy... although I do have my reasons. And no, you don't need an ethernet card, just plug the ethernet cable right into the mobo after you've installed all the drivers and you're good to go.

I don't really want to spend 350ish on the gtx 285. It's a nice card, but apparently the 4890 is coming out this week so i might just have to wait and see the reviews on that.

I'm guessing your TV is at 720p? One gtx 260 or one hd4870 will handle 720p just fine. Then when you get a new monitor with a higher resolution, buy a second card for SLI or Crossfire. Just make sure your psu is compatible with SLI or Crossfire.

Hiei101

I just got a CyberPower computer on Friday. And I just sent it back for a full refund today.

I knew it was a risk, and it didn't pay off. You have to be very lucky to get a PC from them that works properly. If I had to guess, probably 60-70% of the computers they send out have something wrong with them.

Mine seemed to have a bad motherboard (that I think may have been installed wrong, because all the ports on the back were crooked), and a broken video card (was getting artifacts right from the get go).

I could have sent it back for repairs, but you only have a 30 day period to get your money back. If I sent it in for repairs, it was very possible I wouldn't get the PC back before the 30 days expired. And if I got stuck with a lemon, I would probably have to end up paying hundreds of dollars to ship the PC back and forth.

I wouldn't say not to order from them. You could get lucky and get a PC that works well. But I will tell you, if something is wrong with it, just return it right away, or you could end up with a PC that never works right and one that you will miss for months at a time waiting for repairs. Don't let them talk you into repairing it.

Basically ordering from them is like a 130-150 dollar risk. I say that because if it doesn't work right, you will have to spend about 80-90 dollars to ship it back and buy insurance. Plus you lose the original 60-70 dollar shipping fee. So, basically, order from them if you don't mind a 50/50 risk on losing 150 dollars.

that asus looks good, I like the three year warrenty. Now if I was selecting I would probably get the Sapphire overclocked or the XFX overclocked. They would be my first two choices. But I didn't see warrenty info for those two. The asus will probably be just as good.

no this one Hiei101
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150360 (XFX 4890 244$ AFTER MIR) = BEST 4890 out there

XFX = Lifetime warranty +1 = If you give it to someone or sell it to some he get the lifetime warranty as well & huge Reliability
Moder Friendly = Won't void Warranty if you try to overclock it a little / and add a new heat sink which would be 4x more quiet / 3x more cold in idle / load temp

Even tough XFX IS new of 2009 to ATI SIDE IT as the Best Support of all manifacutrer for ATI which i think you should go XFX There for :D

well it lifetime +1 and everything from nvidia side they keep the same Service :There Only two Brand who give lifetime warranty in ati : visiontek / XFX and only one who allow you to be modder friendly + Lifetime warranty Extra (the +1) which is transferable Lifetime warranty to other (XFX)
