Both Ryzen 3950X & 3rd-gen Threadripper have been delayed until November 2019!

We are focusing on meeting the strong demand for our 3rd generation AMD Ryzen processors in the market and now plan to launch both the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and initial members of the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor family in volume this November.

We are confident that when enthusiasts get their hands on the world's first 16-core mainstream desktop processor and our next-generation of high-end desktop processors, the wait will be well worth it.

The 3950X (16 cores/32 threads) was supposed to launch this month even though there was lack of talk about it. I still haven't upgrade to the Ryzen 30XX just yet and still considering going for 3700X. I'll hold off and see what the 3950X has to offer while AMD focus resupplying 3700X & 3900X. As for 3rd-gen Threadripper, no one really knows what it will offer and it wasn't expecting to release until next year.

Unfortunate, but there are plenty of good CPUs available. That many cores and threads are only beneficial for production tasks anyway. I buy CPUs for gaming first and foremost.

Given the lack of supply for 3900X I am not surprised.

this is actually good for amd, best to sort out the agesa updates for these hedt multicore cpu before releasing them.
