I hope you get this reply, Nitrous2O. I know you wrote this post five years ago, but it help me today in 2012! I've been trying to find The Ur-Quan Masters for years!!! I could never remember the name, and years of online searching never led me to find it. I just did a search for "best pc space games", I wasn't even looking for The Ur-Quan Masters, and then I seen your post and saw The Ur-Quan Masters. Immediately it clicked, "OMG, that's it!!! The name of the game I've been looking for, for so many years!!!". I clicked your link to make sure I was right. After seeing the pictures, it is definitely it %100. I'm going to download it now and finally get to play that game again after so much time. It's funny to think that you wrote this reply to help someone in 2007 and, without knowing, it helped me in 2012. Thank you again!!!

So true. Thing is people will complain no matter what. They leave these posts open and then complain when someone responds to them. And as you said thay complain when they make a new thread. "Read it" they say, just another way to complain. Maybe they wanted to say something about what they read. Haters hate and complainers complain and I find it extremely entertaining to read. Just sayin'.:)
Ok, so I am back at the old farm (figure of speech). I am still looking for just a plain old space exploration game for the pc. No shoot em up bang bang. Just plain old 'roaming thru space' exploring different galaxies and planets with some interaction and little fighting. Is there anything like that available?
Dude, not sure if any1 posted a link here, but check this out - http://spaceengine.org No fights, no economics, no nothing. Just you and exploration of the visible universe.
