best rpg of all times

for PC? Baldurs Gate series, Icewind Dale series, Planescape was great, Fallout 1+2 were awesome, Diablo 1+2+xp was legendary, Fable was breakthrough, Dungeon Siege, Elder Scroll series wasn't a good job , Nox 1, 2 sucked ass. Thats all I got for now!xyber04

Didnt know there was more than one time...

Anyway my favorite would be a tie between mass effect and the witcher... Both have amazing storyline ad that is what i believe makes or brakes an RPG.

i never played baldur's gate how is it like?

about icewind dale its simmilar?

hmm neverwinter knights and dungeon siwege i dont like the view but in dungeon siege you mostly go linear and kill enemies,

i never played diablo i heard that you stnd in the center of the screen and kill kill kill till your pc is on fire

fallout 2 was awesom but 1 was boring

gothic? nice games very rpg but i kinda hate the no monsters respawn and the crappy controls

i v heard arcanum was a good game

kotor 1 is the only i played nice game really but it kinda sucks in th beggining i mean the difficulity and the first planet

oblivion i dont like its world map morrowind no speech or quest indicators

i never played two worlds but iheard it lacks in quanity

fable was more like a fun game than rpg

funny but i enjoyed jade empire

what i am looking should work like this

1 most imporrtant awesome story

2 nice or huge worldmap

3 relies more on choieces and npc than killing anyone

Mass Effect

Story is ok but generic and overused. Very limited worldmap as most planets are unexplorable except for the main quest ones and they tend to be quite linear. Choice in this game is very retricted to a black and white mindset and the RPG elements this game does have are very watered down. Mass Effect is a good game but not good RPG.
