I'm in need for a good old PC RPG game; any will do, I just need to know which I should buy. Anything from 1995-2004 would work, I guess.

Fallout 2.MonsieurX

Thanks, I've already played this game though and it's not what I was looking for, I'm looking for different games other than the Fallout universe. Thanks though.

Yeah divine divinity is awesome too. It combines enjoyable diablo gameplay with original RPG elements and the result Is: one of the most addictive game of all times.

I buy all my games on Amazon. Just make sure you buy one with a product description that says "includes case/box/manual." Ones which don't include a description and have some generic description like "Great shape!!! Buy now, free first class shipping!" or whatnot generally only come in a CD sleeve or in a blank CD case with no box, documentation, and sometimes without the CD key (although if you plan to play it single only, you can either call the company or get a serial somewhere on the internet). But don't let that worry you away, 99% of my amazon purchases have been excellent, and from what I've found it's the cheapest (and definitely easiest!) place to get used or older games. I also suggest KOTOR and Divine Divinity.

If you plan on KotOR (I highly suggest it!), you can get the Star Wars: Best of PC pack. 4 games plus a 14-day free trial for Star Wars Galaxy. Unless you burn through games quickly or are some ADD-addled 16 year old who is better off with a 360, then I doubt you will get through all 4 games this summer. Let it be known, however, that there are technical problems running it on Vista, and you might have to do some tinkering before getting KotOR to run perfectly without crashing (its possible).

Actually, thanks to some modders, it isn't that buggy anymore :) I just replayed it not long ago with CO8's mod/bug pack. It's awesome check it out:

Fixes tons of stuff and adds a crap load of content as well.

Icewind Dale 2 is lots of fun. TOEE isn't really a great game, more of a D&D fan's game.

Some that I recommend

Story Driven:

Open Ended - Morrowind (by a huge margin)
Semi-Linear - Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate II, Kotor I
Linear - Witcher

Crappy stories but excellent gameplay:

Open Ended - Fallout Series
Hack & Slash - Diablo I & II
Multiplayer - NWN I

- Wizardry series

- Ultima Series

- Edlerscrolls = Morrowind and Daggerfall are best

- Baldurs Gate 1 and 2

- Fallout1/2

- Neverwinter Nights 1

- Eye Of The Beholder series.

- Divine Divinity

- Diablo1/2

- Planescape Torment

- Arx Fatalis

- Beyond Divinity

Those are all my favs out of the older rpgs.

Considering how many people on here love Deus Ex, I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet (I think).
