Hey guys, I'm trying to build a computer for games like League of Legends and Overwatch (Sometimes Battlefront), meanwhile running programs like Maya and Stingray from Autodesk (Which require like 8GB of RAM, minimum).

I have a $1000 budget for my build, and I am debating on... basically everything.

What is the best build I can get for under $1000? Here are some debates one half of me is having with the other half:

1. Should I go for fan cooling system or liquid?

2. Should I get an ASUS Z170-A or MSI Z170-A Pro?

3. Should I go for Kingston HyperX Fury, Crucial Ballistix, or Corsair Vengeance RAM? (I'm getting 16GB)

4. What graphics card should I get: Radeon or GeForce? (I don't need to run games on Ultra or High, although I'd like it if it ran well on High)

5. How much power do I need for this build?

P.S. I'm looking to get either an Intel i5-6600K or i7-6700K Processor

Thank you guys up front for any input. (:

@Coseniath: I'm looking to get a $150 monitor (haven't decided which), Windows 10 Home ($100), and a cheap keyboard and mouse

@PredatorRules: Thanks! That's a great build. How is the graphics card?

It's excellent, do you need monitor + OS+ keyboard + mouse to be included in that 1000$ budget or is it ok to be beyond that?

1. Just use an aircooler like the honorable Hyper 212+ EVO.

2. I would go with a Ryzen 5 with this type of budget. Ryzen 1600/1600x or 2600/2600x.

3. Any name brand memory with lifetime warranty will do the job.

4. If you aiming for or under around $300 RX 580 8gb or GTX 1060 6gb. Are good all around gaming gpus

5. Any gold rated 550+ watt psu will be good.

I would not buy an older cpu when newer faster options are available. old quad core i5's is a waste of money. An 6 core 12 thread cpu will serve you better now and into the future.
