best gaming laptop?

I realaize that a laptop will never get the same performance a desktop gets, but I really love the mobility of a laptop, so what would be a kickass and ideal gaming laptop? (Please no overboard prices that are super high, just names brands)

I have been looking at Voodoo, Dell, and Alienware as of now, is there anything that is the same or better then any of these in terms of laptop gaming?

yeh but i dont put my tower on my lap with 1 fan while putting ducttape over the hole thing to make sure there is no airflow

problem with "gaming" laptops is that newer games require newer technology. Newer technology drains a lot of power and puts out A LOT of heat. Laptops are very limited on how they deal with heat and usually rely on two - three SMALL fans and "pipes" to try to vent heat out of the system. The past 5 laptops I have owned, 3 dells, 1 sony, and 1 alienware all had heat problems that over time (and rather quickly mind you) GREATLY reduced system performance and even made some games unplayable that ran fine when the system was still new.

Personally, I will never buy another "gaming" laptop again.
