I am new to FPS and was wondering what people found to be the best, most comfortable, best value game pad.

Thanks and happy holidays:

FPS games on a PC or a particular console? If it's the PC, I would suggest using the mouse. Even if you have a cheap mouse it will usually be faster and more accurate than any game pad. I do have a game pad for my PC, but it will never be used to play FPS games. If it's for a console, I almost always stick with the original controllers. I've found that historically, they are usually the best quality and least prone to errors or glitches.

He wants a controller, that's what he made the topic based on. I'm pretty sure he knows he can use his mouse. The Xbox 360 Controller is the best controller for gaming systems and for PC gaming, except for using it to play Crysis or Unreal or TimeShift.

Thanks for all the input.

I should have specified it is for games on the PC. For some adventure games I have found my wrist can get very painful if I have played intendely and so I was hoping a pad would both help my response time and save my wrist. based on the expert comments it looks like I should but some Advil and suck it up!!.

Again - many thanks and good luck in your gaming
