What do you think is better, The Battlefield Series or the Crysis Series? (Includes Multiplayer)
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Crysis 1 is better than Battlefield 3, but not BFBC2, but Battlefield is multiplayer focused and Crysis was singleplayer focused.
However, pretty much any Battlefield game is better than Crysis 2. The multiplayer was nothing special.
I can see why you are asking this- you want a multiplayer game. And Battlefield delivers. Crysis most certainly does not.
So your sayin BFBC2 Is better than BF3?speedysam123
A lot of people think like that. I don't, I think BC2 had better maps and a better overall feel of battle and teamwork. but BF3 is better in almost every other way. Audio and visuals are vastly improved. I just wish BF3 had the destruction of BC2. It's technically better than BC2's but there is less of it.
And Battlefield keeps me coming back and more entertained than Crysis so I pick that. but Crysis is a SP game experience anyway, I'd rather have both series
Battlefield, without a doubt. Crysis 1 was okay as long as you were in the jungle, but then it just became a huge bore. Crysis Wars felt really unfocused and just didn't sit right with me, so I only played it for a few hours. Crysis 2 was just another linear shooter, and the multiplayer wasn't fun to me at all as it felt too much like CoD, which I'd already played to death.
These 2 series have almost nothing in common other than the fact you shoot a gun in both. Why are we comparing the two? The SP in Crysis is better, the MP in Battlefield is better...but not sure why this is a discussion.
Crysis is one of the few worthy shooters of the last decade. I think my preference is quite clear:P.

it's not a discussion. you've summed it up perfectly
Although it is worth noting that the FoV in Crysis 2 is really screwed up and likes to reset to 60 degrees whenever you restart at a checkpoint or load a new level. It wouldn't be much of a problem except that there are 3 different console commands (FoV, Gun FoV, Sprinting FoV) to input everytime it changes back.
If you're looking for a MP game, get BF3 and/or BC2. MP has never been anything special for Crysis. If you want an awesome single player campaign, get Crysis 1. Still one of the best SP shooters ever made. I'm probably in the minority here, but I really liked Crysis 2, as well. It's a huge change from Crysis 1, and pretty much a downgrade in every way, which is why it's easy to hate. But I feel, judged on its own merits, it's still a great game, and one of the best of its kind.

I just changed those manually in the game's config file, and I'm pretty sure they never reset on me.

And if they reset "read only". If it's 2 and 2142 only, I'd go with BF, but as a series, Crysis.[QUOTE="speedysam123"]So your sayin BFBC2 Is better than BF3?seanmcloughlin
A lot of people think like that.
Thank god too.:PTo me BF3 just has graphics, sound, gunplay and content over it. While there's more annoyances that makes it less fun than BC2 but still fun.
Single player: Crysis
Multiplayer: Battlefield
This comparison is funny since Crysis has crappy multiplayer and Battlefield has crappy single player.

Both of the game you are mention here are legendary by there own way. Crysis is good if you are looking for a nice single player campaign. And battlefield will be best choice if you are looking for first person multiplayer shooting. Any way both of them are really fun to play and my suggestion will be get them both if you can. :D
