Just wondering if you are all interested in the campaign or if you are purchasing it purely for the multiplayer?

The only way i can play multiplayer if it supports dedicated server otherwise i am screwed due to bad ping in p2p protocol. Zillaschool
What? The game doesn't work as p2p matchmaking game. Is dedis as the beta.
About the topic: multiplayer first, once most of stuff were unlocked then I'll try the campaign.
After somehow flipping the helicopter over in the beta, I think I have to play it unless there is some seperate helicopter flying teaching thing.

My clan is actually planning on doing public flying lessons in our server on some days. However, other than getting into an empty server, non-combatant server, or a dedicated school server, I don't think there's another way to learn how to fly.
Quick tip that works for most, ignore the mouse. Use the arrow keys. Doesn't work for me, but it does for everyone else.
i think this game superior in multi player as i tried the beta its quiet goood and impressive . but i think for the compagin will be good too and we wait and see what happend its only amatter of time dudes .
I'll play single player first so that any game breaking multiplayer bugs should be fixed and my friends can all get their copies, then to multiplayer. Plus if I go multi first, I may never play single player. It's awesome, I get a 15 day spring break this year starting like March 16 or so, therefore I can play a ton.
I assume I will play SP first jsut like in an RTS, I assume you learn the basics through the campaign (flying, the different weapons and so on).
So im gonna romp through the sp campaign, altho I doubt it is too dissimilar from other bf games :3

Judging by the first, its like cod but with bigger maps and vehicles. Also the enemies dont respawn, you just drive fom point A to point B and they are waiting there for you![QUOTE="Zillaschool"]The only way i can play multiplayer if it supports dedicated server otherwise i am screwed due to bad ping in p2p protocol. Its good to know now i may buy it.SP first, then Multi. Since i'm likely to spend the majority of my time playing the game on the multiplayer, it seems logical to play the SP first.
I might do both at the same time though - depending on what i feel like.
I saw a TV interview with one of the lead designers. He said that at least 50% of the effort to making BF:BC2 went to the single player campaign and also to expect 10 hours in length! He was really talking up the SP aspect of the game, so hopefully its as good as he was advertising.
Does BC2 come with any gifts for preorder? BF2 came with a logitech headphone with logo, perty awesome used it until it snapped in three. Never played a battlefield game with SP, only 2, 2142 both of which doesnt have any.

Only thing I know of is the "limited edition". It gives you access to the beta (going on right now until release). Also, gives you several items unlocked with your copy. Other players will have access to this stuff later, but need to unlock it through ranking up in the multi-player.

I'll probably play SP first because so far I can't stand the MP beta and I have the damned thing preordered so hopefully I can get a little bit of enjoyment out of it.
I'll get around to the single player eventually. Multiplayer is what I play Battlefield for, though. More importantly, right at launch is naturally when there will be the largest amount of newbies who aren't acclimated to the game yet, which means easy pickin's for me as a Battlefield player since BFV and a BC2 beta participant since its launch.
Iam very surprised to see how many people are going to play its campaign straight away....

Ditto. I'll probably play multiplayer first.

Same here, might take a few weeks before i start the campaign.I have never ever played the single player on any Battlefield game. I don't see how it would be fun playing against an AI...Battlefield is about multiplayer...

Considering how older battlefield games defined the "single player" part of the game, I definetely understand why you think this, but did you play the single player for BF:BC 1? It was very different from previous battlefield games. It was an actual campaign with missions/objectives and a central storyline.
that's because before bad company, battlefield games' campaign was merely bot mode multiplayer.I have never ever played the single player on any Battlefield game. I don't see how it would be fun playing against an AI...Battlefield is about multiplayer...
