Hey i have been playing battlefield 2142 much lately, and have around 30.000 points, but all my specs are set to low and terrain to medium, i did this so the game won´t crash each time that i play. I was thinking about upgrading my PC so i can set all setting to high i will give my specs here:

i have :

Intel Core Duo 2.40 Ghz

GeForce 6600 (don't know which one)

1024MB Kingston RAM (2x 512, 2 free slots)

now my question was : Are there any bf2142 players who think/know what i need to play it perfectly ??

i was thinking about putting 2x512 extra in and upgrading to GeForce 7900 GTX

thanks in forward

That'll run fine, just make sure your PSU can handle the card. BTW, what does 30,000 points have to do with anything?

i meant with that that i have been playing a long time on a not very good system.

you say it will run fine but if i set things higher than medium it crashes too often

Upgrade the graphics card, the 6600 isn't that great and adding another gig of ram will help out when you increase the graphics settings.

oops sorry for my misunderstanding ^^ yeah i kinda had an idea that my GeForce 6600 is the weakest part in my system and also the most outdated, on an other forum i heard that i could better buy an 8800GT than 7900GTX because of the price/performance ? does anyone know if this is true ? (sorry i am a dummy in computer technique)
