Bad company 2 or battlefield 2???

SO i am wondering if i should get battlefield 2 now or wait and get bad company 2 when it comes out

My rig can handle bad company two the biggest thing i am looking for is gameplay and communtiy?

kinda, but if bad company two steals all of battlefield 2 population i would rather wait

I was going to get modern warfare 2 but yeah...

I am 17 without a job so I dont have a whole lot of money and there are other games and things I want to get

so my question is when bad company 2 comes out will it take alot of population from battlefield 2?

The new patch of BF2 included the 2 expansion packs (not special forces though) and is cheap and still has thousands of servers. BFBC wont be out for a while so get BF2 now if you want to play a BF.

You might consider purchasing BF2142, as the weapons and vehicles of 2142 will be quiet different and give you more replay value after you get BFBC2. Btw I regularly play 2142 and the community is very strong.

I do not think you should be afraid that the community from BF2 will migrate over to BFBC2,BFBC2 may be the newest entry, and most BF2 players will buy it, but BF2 is the bigger game, with moreways to play (jets anyone?).

Id say get BF2, the community is pretty darn strong, andworks on just about any PC ive met, besides... 64 player mayhem is so manykinds of cool, that it is hard to explain.

BFBC2 is a slightly smaller game, if I understood correctly (32 player) andwhile it is tecnically superior, it comes at the price of a portion of the BF2 community not being able to play it.

I am sure the weapons work WAY better in BFBC2 tho... I am SO gonna get that game ^^

err sidetracked :s Yeah BF2 is a safe buy, they did not migrate for BFBC, and I doubt they are gonna move an inch before BF3 comes out. (most of the community seems to see BFBC as a spinoff series rather then sequals)

Unlike some people have mentioned on here, I find BF2 to be quite easy for new players to get into, its a game about teamwork, so a mechanic, medic, or support soldier will get you a foot in the door fast, but beware, this IS a team game, which makes it so darn good ^^
