It's been over 5 years and I'm back to pc gaming . It's been a long time and I really appreciate it if some people here will give me a welcome back. I'm a proud owner of a i7 and a 1070 gtx.

I think @FelipeInside pretty much covered it.
With that said...WELCOME BACK!
Ummm...if you're looking for recommendations that have more or less come out in the last five years, I'd start with:
The Witcher 3 (epic action-RPG)
XCOM 2 (Tactical turn-based strategy)
Civilization V (TBS)
Total War: Warhammer (or is it Warhammer: Total War?...)
Battlefield 4 (online class-based FPS)
Kerbal Space Program (NASA/spaceship building/exploring sim)
Cities Skylines (city builder)
Grim Dawn (isometric action-rpg...like Diablo or Titan Quest)
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak (epic story-based RTS)
Honestly you picked a good time, Steam is having it's Summer sale so get on over and get like 300 dollars of games for the price of one.
I think @FelipeInside pretty much covered it.

I'll add Tomb Raider reboot and it's sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider. Two great games with gorgeous graphics.
Also Overwatch and The Division for multiplayer shooter fun.

Cool... I just ordered myself an AMD 8 cores built on the way, can;t wait... been playing on my low end since forever tho.
I took a long break from PC gaming in order to focus on console gaming. Big mistake. The console industry is nothing like what it used to be. Consoles used to cheap, plug-and-play devices that were as simple to use as toasters and microwave ovens. Nowadays they are bulky, expensive, riddled with DLC and microtransaction for full-priced games, lack of splitscreen multiplayer, online passes, and loads of other nonsense. So that made me return to PC gaming. After the recent Steam sale, I now have 229 games in my library. Glad you have returned to PC gaming.
