I dont know if this is new or not but i found this a few mins ago and its EPIC EPIC :O. Apparently these guys made this short clip with 500$ which is beyond amazing to me, cuz it looks reaaaaaally good. Except for the bad acting :p im sure u will all think the same.

PS: Needless to say its better on HD.

That was sick, i loved it! They should make a full HL2 movie, with a much higher budget of course.

for such a low budget, the production values are incredible, but it was kind of pointless. I mean, it was just two guys running through a trainyard shooting combine. Hopefully this was just a proof-of-concept kind of thing, and they'll have something more substantial in upcoming installments. That's just the critic in me, though. They're definitely deserving of some praise.

That's just the first installment in a series.

I know, and I mentioned that. Doesn't change the fact that nothing substantial actually happens in it.

That was incredible. There has to be a HL feature film, and these guys have to direct it. The End.

For a $500 budget that's simply incredible, but if it had been an actual movie...not so much. The acting is pretty mediocre, although admittedly better than what I could do, and I didn't feel like there was a plot, although I guess that's because this is only part I. The set pieces and special effects were great though (except for the combine suits, they looked a little ridiculous). If I were to be super-critical I would say that the sound effects, taken straight from the video games, felt out of place.

I like the people criticisng the "plot". Ever played HL2? Find me the plot in any 2-3 hours of gameplay. >_>

That said, I thought it was amazing. The acting of the people dying was a bit, eh, but their acting was just fine. They're not there to win an Oscar, they're there to be two guys running from a war zone. They did it, and they did it well.

I'm with the guy who said it was kinda pointless...there was no intro, and I can't say I like the sound effects (they took them right from the game and it sounded out of place at most parts) but it isn't bad for 500$. I don't think these guys should make the feature film...in fact, no one should make the feature film unless it is Spielburg, which won't happen, because he basically already did with War of the Worlds.

I loved the short... i just think there was too much "shaky camera"

As much as i hate video game based movies... i want to see a Half Life film!
