Any good Ev Nova like games?

I dunno if anybody remembers this game, but it was amazing.. Anyways, are there any games like it? Extremely free-roaming, huge world, dozens of indepth storylines and tons of customization? I know tons of things fit this mold, but I'm looking for something with an Ev Nova feel to it..

First and foremost, if you haven't tried EV: Override, I'd get one the conversion mods from Nova to Override. There's some pretty good graphics mods out there that give Override some pretty good graphics. It's not as huge and sprawling as Nova, but it's definitely quality content from the same makes of Nova.

yes EVEOnline its the next in the serious of the ev games could be wrong but they both have the same back round story mentioning sol n such

Are you responding to the right thread? I'm seriously asking this because neither X-COM nor Homeworld are anything like EV Nova. Probably the closest thing to EV Nova gameplay would be Space Rangers 2...but that's about it.

The most similar games to it are Eve online, Space Pirate VS Zombies, and Starfarer.

Starfarer, so far is the most similar to EV NOVA. and FKN AWESOME LOOKING!

It is still in production but you can play the alpha version or something. There is no 'WORLD' yet and no storyline yet. But if you check the videos, you will know why they arent there yet. Theres just so much in the gameplay.

But if you dont mind first person view, There is X1,X2,X3. And im NOT talking about X-COM yuck.

You start with a small ship, then trade and fight, upgrade to bigger ships, have escorts, then buy industries and bigger ships, have heaps of money flowing in, then eventually conquer the universe. Also there is a above evarage storyline.
