I would just like to ask since i'm new to MSDN AA. I downloaded win 7 Pro x64 from MSDN AA. is this a full license like a full copy someone else bought through retail? Or does it have a limit like when i graduate from school, it will shut down or after a specific number of months or years, i can no longer use it?

No it's shouldn't have a time limit or anything - it's the final build so it's pretty much retail copy unless Microsoft make last minute changes. I'm running RTM 32-bit on my laptop and it doesn't have any usage time left or the status message in the bottom right corner.

ravenguard90

That's the release candidate.

The RTM avalable on MSDN is the final build, and will not time out.

Correct, RTM is the same as retail. The only difference for you is that your license is instead provided through MSDNAA (membership for which you must meet certain requirements and agree to certain terms.)

It's not for cancel lol, acm stands for Association for Computing Machinery, all you have to do is go the site, click on join in the corner make sure you select student membership and there you go your in. You do have to enroll in the MSDN AA program and wait 24hrs or so before you get access

Technet/msdn licenses can't be given out, they send a heartbeat, and if different ips come, the person who gave it to you is responsible. Go pirate it on your own time.

Is it only from MSDN? Because I got my copy of Windows 7 RTM direct from Microsoft. But I did help participate in trials and such so maybe that is why.

The keys from the MSDN AA give you a full valid product key for Windows 7. However, many of the keys keys from AA cannot be reused, even iif its the same machine. Your IT coordinator at school would have to reapprove the key for a second use/installation. This doesnt apply to every product though, and im not sure if its being done on Windows 7.
