it will but dont buy it, its just an overclocked GTX and not worth the price. IF you want get a 320mb GTS for 1280x1024, 640mb GTS for 1680x1050, and a GTX for 1900x1200

Bingo!

As I've said plenty of times before (even when people refuse to listen) .. the GTS is generally fine for lower resolutions, while the GTX is the best choice overall and can perform well at any given resolution, even the very high ones.

The Ultra is the best performer overall, but price-wise it's the biggest joke ever because it doesn't perform a whole lot better than the GTX but costs about $100+ more!

As long as you DON'T BUY THE 8800 ULTRA , any of the 8800 series cards will be perfect. Every single reviewer has declared the Ultra a waste of money.

Ultra is a waste of money if you tend to want to save money. But if you want the best, just get it. You are already paying like 500 something, 100 bucks more doesn't hurt for like 5-10% more performance. Look at me, my monitor doesn't even go above 1360x768 and I bought the 640mb version GTS. I was going to get the 8800GTX but it was out of stock so I just settled with 640mb GTS.

don't waste you money on a ultra or even a gtx the 8800gts series is a overkill even for games today you can get one for like $280-400 depend on how much vram you getand it should last a long time its not worth it to pay 200-400 more on a gtx or ultra when all your getting is more overkill and by the time they become really needed to play games there will be new series of cards that will be better and cheaper

I have a 8800GTS and I hardly find the GTS to be over kill as they say. I still don't get a constant 60FPS all the time in oblivion or rs: vegas. Some games still need more juice. It's a great card, but it's not overkill. Overkill would be like 20-30% more perfomance. Get a GTX or Ultra, definitely.

Nah not this time, I wanted my card fast, like in a day or two, newegg shipping sucked, and it's too pricey for next day. I had some 10% off thingy at bestbuy, plus they were having a sale, but everything was backordered and I'm impatiant so I bought the only thing in stock.. lol, 8800GTS 640MB, it was 30 more than the OC2 version which didn't make any sense. But still cheaper than newegg. Got it for $350, of course I don't know what this extra 320MB of ram is going to do for me. lol

The extra RAM doesn't start doing anything until you get to really high resolutions such as 1920x1200 .. in fact, this discussion was/is going in another thread. If you don't play at anything past 1600x1200, you'll really never (or rarely) see the benefit of the extra RAM to be 100% honest with you.

If you look at some of the benchmark comparisons, at standard resolutions such as 1280x1024, the 320MB version performs identical to the 640MB version .. literally.

:) im a happy money waster with a XFX GeForce 8800Ultra 675M 768MB XXX PCI-E. it has a factory clock@675/2300Mhz. i prefer to play games in 1920x1200. of course its a waste of money but so many other things in life are the same. it all boil down to interest and what you want for yourselfe. but the KO and XXX versons of the Ultra Cards are the fastest cards on the market of today and there is little point for anyone to try and disagree with that. so it all boils down again to what you yourselfe prefer to spend your money on. :)

Hey, don't be ashamed .. I personally look at it as a card that's way out of my consideration, but now that you have it, you can laugh at all the people who DON'T have one because there's nothing better! :P

Well if i go SLI and combine two 640mb GTS together, thats better than one single 768 ULTRA isnt it? If i go SLI will it mean i can handle any game with ease?
