I have the money for one and there's an Asus GTX 970 Strix or Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 (it's like $20 more) for sale that I'm thinking of getting. Will there be a noticeable difference? Will my pc be good enough to support it?

I have a GTX 770, 4GB and think a 970 is almost worthwhile for me. Take that as you wish.

Edit: If your CPU is overclocked, it's totally worth it.

@fatalscorpion: Because it runs faster. It's an upgrade regardless, but you'll get more out of it with an overclocked CPU and you can do it with a decent cooler, since you have a K model.

@fatalscorpion: Since you got space in your case (wow, a poem :P). go for Gigabyte G1. (Supports up to 12.99" (330mm) video cards.)

To realise the potential of the upgrade from a 750ti, TehcpowerUp has a summary of 20 games tested:

And there isn't a game that gets bottlenecked from your CPU at the moment so there is no need to o/c.

Unless you want to get better results at benchmarks.

ps: @xantufrog's avatar and song, have nothing to do with southpark.

All people that lived in the golden era of RPGs in SNES, they know which is...

I would go with STRIX I prefer the silence, the G1 is the best for OC so I guess it will give you the best performance over the later years, by best performance I mean 3-5 fps more compared to the STRIX edition.

Isn't the STRIX versions only really quiet when at low load because they allow the fans to be turned off? At higher load they are comparable to the DCU ASUS uses on other cards...?

Yes, from reviews the fans are not turning until it reaches up to 67C; The cooling is a bit better than DCU2, they've been upgraded in some ways that I do not remember, you could probably read more from 970 STRIX reviews.

Oh and stricter/locked voltage control to also keep the temperature lower. It's a nice idea I guess, but GPU fans never bothered me during idle..
