Hey I bought a third party gamepad that did not come with any drivers, is there a universal program that can be used to bind keys and stuff?

Joy2Key and Xpadder are the usual recommendations for KB+M emulation on any DirectInput controller. If you want to pass it off as an Xbox 360 gamepad for newer XInput-only games, use X360CE.

Use X360CE for generic PC gamepads, I do.

You just run a simple tool to bind keys, as if it was a 360's pad.

It'll create a file You'll need to copy to a game folder, where it's executable file is stored for that game to use it.

I have an issue with it though, whenever I play a game without the gamepad plugged in it drops frames quite badly.

You'll have to plug the pad in before running the game or just remove the custom dll file from that game's folder in order to play without it.
