There a few games I'm thinking about for Christmas so I'm thinking of upgrading my hardware. Right now the only PC game I'm playing is Witcher 3 and will play Fallout 3 after, but I'm looking at the new Doom, Deux Ex, Batman, and seeing what else is out there.

Here are my specs:

Processor: Intel Core i7-2600k @3.4GHZ overclocked to 3.9GHZ

LGA1155

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68P-DS3

RAM: 8GB Patriot G2 DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHZ

Graphics Card: Powercolor Radeon HD6850 1GB GDDR5

Game Hard Drive: Samsung 850 Pro SSD 256GB

@urbangamez: Do you think I would see a noticeable improvement if I got a GTX 1070?

Thanks everyone. From what I've read the GTX 1070 sounds like a good bang for the buck. Just wanted to double check my other components wouldn't hold me back from seeing the improvement from the new GPU

your cpu is still good to go, I'm still running the same tho at 4.6ghz and it hasn't managed to bottleneck my oc'd 980ti which is around the same as 1070
