I feel so annoyed. I've been tring to fix a gpu error on a pc which I have to sell in a few days. I downloaded DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) for uninstalling my Nvidia driver ( I have an Nvidia nForce 630a ). I removed all of the drivers and everything, booted onto the AMD integrated Graphics, ( Processor is AMD Phenom 9850 x4 ) and installed the Nvidia GeForce 309.08 - WHQL driver for windows 8 64 bit ( I had Windows 8.1 64 bit ) , and restarted. And now when I start the pc, it starts, but after I get to the login screen, the screen goes black even when the PC is on. I feel very angry and annoyed at the same time as my parents would kill me. Guys please help me I'm really in need of your help. ?

did you use ddu in safe mode to begin with?(it's recommended to do so) it is also possible that windows has installed some amd drivers to mess up your shit. But yes boot safe mode ->ddu ->reinstall the nvidia ones

that doesn't sound right, did you do autodetect or manual search?

didn't notice the chipset is that old, no dx10 support even, not sure if there's still drivers being made?

@howmakewood: do you think the old drivers will work with windows 8.1?

Because i am sure that they were either made for windows 8 or windows 7

@ragedragon: What is so hard?

1. Go here, https://www.geforce.com/drivers

2. Go manual search

- Legacy

- nForce 630a/7025

- W7 64bit

Search

3. Download the drivers

4. Install
