so the benchmarks are out seems the average is 2 fps better.
at almost half the cost thats great.
also seems intel cpu makes better uses of the 1080TI than ryzen.
So would going from two way 980 ti sli to a single 1080 ti be worth it? I'd overclock it of course,. also game on a 50 inch 4k tv.
@locus-solus:
I'd say no, unless your game's are not supporting SLI or your saturating that 6gb of vram. Your SLI 980Ti's will be typically faster.

Beastly performance of a single card and no headaches from SLI... Yes, it is definitely worth it. I swapped a 970 SLI setup for a single 980 Ti a while back and it was such an improvement to my overall enjoyment of games. I since swapped my 980 Ti for a 1080. I am tempted to swap again for the 1080 Ti, but the 1080 is actually a very good card and is performing pretty well for me at 1440p. I do have a 144hz G-Sync monitor though and it is always nice to push as many fps as you can. :)
very tempting to get one, original plan was to check out the amd's offering first but well it's going to be a while before they get vega's out
That's almost always the case now. 980Ti was better than the Titan of that time at almost half the cost.

Considering you'll be hitting memory bottlenecks at 4k, you'll definitely want to upgrade.
I'm getting one for my HTPC setup. I like me a single card 4k solution.
I bought mine Friday from Newegg there all out of stock and on back order, they must be selling like crazy. So i settled for ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 TI 11GB GDDR5X Founders Edition
@KBFloYd: I'm waiting for another MSI non-Founders Edition.
