Just to start off, let me say I'm not sure what board to post this in. For school I will need a laptop and i decided that if i got one i would want the surface pro (legit the same specs as my pc right now). I have been debating over the GTX 1080 FE also, so what do you guys think?

Microsoft Surface ($1,000) or GTX 1080 FE ($550)?

Get the laptop for school, and when you get out buy anything you want lol. The gpu is going to make you less focused on your studies.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but get the laptop for school. Do well in school. Or, don't even do well; just be sure you graduate, that's all you really need to do.

Then you will be making money and can buy many GPU's!

Unless you get married.
