I got it at Microcenter for $750,was that a good deal if it was an open box item?

Nope, because you could've bought 2x 390 at that price.

Nope, because you could've bought 2x 390 at that price.

But a single Titan X is almost as powerful as Crossfire R9 390's. Some people prefer single card setup.

Well it was a good deal I think for a Titan X. That doesn't necesserily mean that buying a Titan X is a smart thing to do.

That is a good deal on Titan X indeed! I'd probably still grab a 980 Ti though (if I was looking for a new card). It just looks like an attractive card with a decent price.
R9 295X2 dropped in price here. It can now be had for $630 XFX Core Edition.
That's like buying two R9 290X's for $315 a piece. That's not a bad deal.
