I can't get my ram speed to its initial 3000mhz...it's stuck at 2133

I have the Corsair Vengeance DDR(3000mhz) ram sticks. I tried enabling, I've tried changing it manually but it stays at 2133mhz. My cpu is the Ryzen 7 2700x if that means anything...I see in the website that it's compatible with 2933 speeds.

Make sure XMP (or AMD equivalent) is enabled in your BIOS.

@BassMan: Oops my initial post had that i tried enabling XMP. Not sure why I deleted that part when I was editing the post

check if mobo itself is compatible with the ram, or try to update bios, then enable xmp
