On Newegg.com there are AIB 1080s for under $700. Actually just the MSI models are above $700. They are all constantly sold out though.

I honestly don't think you will find any at the $599 price. It's a suggested price and I don't blame the companies who are putting their own coolers on custom PCBs for not sticking to it.

Now if its a stock Nvidia PCB with a basic cooling system maybe but these companies are putting more performance and better quality parts into their cards and still coming in under the $700 reference design.

So far I think the MSI gaming X and the Sea Hawk are the only ones actually over the $700 buy in at $720 and $750.

*edit*

Dang, just noticed the stock is way down on newegg. There were over 20 cards yesterday and it's down to about ten.

There are a lot of sellers that taking advantage of the high demand and charge an arm and a leg:

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING ACX 3.0 Graphics Cards 08G-P4-6181-KR

1 new from $1,699.00

Amazon ftw!

nVidia does pretty well with their marketing for this to happen... I guess the production of these cards are a bit low as well.
