This is the build I am putting together (parts are ordered). I am now trying to pick a monitor. There are so many options, but alot of them get out of my price range. I want the best bang for my buck so I am trying to decide between 1440p, 144hz, and or GSYNC.

Ones I am looking at now:

1.Acer XB240H Abpr 24-Inch Full HD NVIDIA G-SYNC (1920 x 1080) 144 Hz: 385$

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-XB240H-Abpr-24-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00QS0AK6U/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

2.BenQ XL Series XL2411Z 24-Inch LED Monitor 1080p 144 Hz NO G-SYNC: 270$

http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2411Z-24-Inch-LED-Monitor/dp/B00ITORITU/?tag=amazon0606-20

3.Acer G257HU smidpx 25-Inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) Widescreen Monitor 1440p NO G-SYNC: 260$

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-G257HU-smidpx-25-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00QS0AKVK?tag=amazon0606-20

Basically I need to know if 1080p with G SYNC is better than 1440p without it. Or if G-SYNC is worth it over the other 144 hz 1080p monitor. I am open to other suggestions as well. I just want to make the best use of my beastly computer without dropping over 400$ on a monitor (400 is stretching, would rather spend 300)

I can't imagine going without G-Sync and I can't imagine going to 1920 x 1080 eeeek.

I don't think I could choose. I suppose common sense would dictate the higher res then adjust you settings so you keep frames high to avoid tearing. I can't advise on any of those specific monitors though.

Best bang for the buck? Get a 1440P panel for that beast 980 Ti.

Go with one of these: QNIX QX2710 Glossy or QNIX QX2710 Matte they are 1440P (2K) & overclockable up to 120hz. Both are the same monitor it just depends whether you want a Glossy or a Matte one.

BenQ XL series - That $500 monitor or higher.

Acer XB series - Gsync one, but the monitor has a lot of manufacturing issues at the moment.

Dell Ultrasharp series - Ummm...

HP Dreamcolour - Again, ummm...

I'd link the models, but I'm on a phone.

@Mosleyx2003: It really depends on your personal preference. With your setup a 1080p monitor you would get closer to achieving that 144hz on most games than 1440p. Do you want IPS or TN panel? Are you looking for a 1ms response time? You won't have many options for a g-sync monitor around $300. To me smoothness is the most important so I prefer the higher hz over image quality so I'd go with the 1st one 1080p 144hz g-sync with your budget. I've never used g-sync but at lower hz supposed to look smoother so if you can up your budget than 1440p 144hz g-sync. For that I'd choose the Asus Rog Swift.
