Had a few question on zombies that I think you guys could answer for me:

1. How long does it take for the zombie "virus"??? to take affect.

2. Can a zombie be knocked unconcious?

3. Does a person have to die to become a zombie or can it happen while the person is living?

4. What speed can a zombie run? Which also brings up the question if zombies actually did exhist, would they be able to use muscles? Furthermore, what part of the brain does the zombie "virus"??? take control over?

5. A situation in which a zombie "virus"??? has spread throughout Murica, what do you do?

It isn't real

2. Can a zombie be knocked unconcious?

Zombies aren't real

3. Does a person have to die to become a zombie or can it happen while the person is living?

You can't become a zombie, they aren't real.

4. What speed can a zombie run? Which also brings up the question if zombies actually did exhist, would they be able to use muscles? Furthermore, what part of the brain does the zombie "virus"??? take control over?

It doesn't take up any part of the brain, the virus isn't real

5. A situation in which a zombie "virus"??? has spread throughout Murica, what do you do?

I would live normally, because thats impossible

Additional question: 6. Why are there always so many zombies? But when they show scenes of zombies attacking, they seem to eat the people. I would imagine the zombie population would be low unless the whole city was just scratched or bitten by zombies.

The first hundred or so people are able to get away because they're usually attacked by a couple zombies. This continues to happen until there are so many zombies the next person can't out run them.

Cardio is obvious, unless the zombies are the type that have full function of their muscles and can run and superhuman speeds. In that case you would need to have more muscle to ensure your punches can knock their heads off.

You want speed and mobility; not defense and offense.

a) There will always be an infinite amount of zombies.
b) You do not have infinite ammo and fuel.
c) When those run out you are stuck inside it.

This **** is serious, son.

Any distraction and weight upon the vehicle, like a cannon, isn't worth it. Keep the bare necessities when it comes to offense. If you need any more than that, chances are you painted yourself into a ****ed six ways to Sunday corner. Plus it's not like one of those are just lying around to use/purchase. Despite it being fun to goof around with it, one has to be realistic with a zombie plan.

Not unless you got the plane meant to be built around it. Doubtful, unless you work for the military, in which case you're already ****ed. Zombie Tropes 101: Military officials are surprisingly ineffective against the zombie horde and have very slim chances of survival, despite popular conception on the matter. Of course if they are the love interest to the female lead chances of survival are raised, but even then, the increase is only from 5% to 20%.

A gross and unnecessary waste of ammo. Ammo goes quicker than you think. And since it's wise to not overload on weight, you won't have too much to begin with. Always aim for the head and unless the situation is dire, NEVER fire unless you have a clear, focused line of sight on the target. While you're digging a new Grand Canyon with your oversized toy, a single pistol/rifle shot would do the job and in less time.

5. A situation in which a zombie "virus"??? has spread throughout Murica, what do you do?

sixty7velle
Gonna base these answers on the generic shambler type. 1. Around 24 hours. Victim will suffer numbness, coma, death, then reanimation 2. No, Zombies don't sleep or experience unconsciousness. If you get close enough to hit one you better make it a killing blow. 3. The person must die. note: the bite doesn't have to be what kills him. It's the living DEAD. 4.Shamblers can't run (sprinters such as L4D can though). Since zombies are dead they can't regenerate damage, so their muscles would deteriorate from use over time. Assume the nervous system, and parts associated with respiratory, cardiac or digestive systems to be pulp 5. Wait for panic to settle or people to be eaten (whichever comes first) then head for a place with an abundance of food (probably government safe zone, as I am not trained or suited for the wilderness)

Plus most of those in graves have deteriorated to the point where they couldn't even rise regardless. Better places to devote such time and money beforehand.

I hear it's better if you've covered wars ya know. That way you know how to use a gun. And it looks awsome on your resume.

Remember, you gotta shoot 'em in the head!

...I play too many video games. :?

Be careful with guns, they'll attract a herd.

muscles need blood flow to work. if you are dead, then there is no bloodflow. therefor no zombies.

The only way a zombie could ever work would be if it was just brain dead. But then it would lose all of its supernatural powers

Zombies still only exist in the realm of science fiction, and every author has their own unique take on the behavior of the virus and the zombies themselves.

1.In stories like "28 Days Later", the effect is almost instant, and in some other like "The Walking Dead" the virus kills you slowly like a really bad flu, and then you come back as a zombie.

2. I've never seen any fiction where they can be "knocked unconscious", they usually are persistent until they are dead for good.

3. See answer #1

4. Again, their speed is all up to the author of a particular zombie fiction; in recent films like 28 Days Later and Dawn of the Dead, the zombies can run, whereas the more traditional zombie is slow and lumbering. I think the assumption is that the "virus" takes over the part of the brain that controls rational thought and the body thrives on the most basic instinct to feed itself.

5. In any fiction I've seen where the zombie virus hasn't spread across the entire world, the area in which it is contained is quarantined and then destroyed with some type of nuclear explosion, or they just let all the undead starve to death.
